Senior Director, Operations Quality

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a global team of quality professionals responsible for quality assurance across HP's network of ODM partner manufacturing facilities.
• Develop and deploy quality policies, procedures, and objectives to ensure customer requirements and regulatory standards are met.
• Collaborate with product engineering, product management, and operations teams to address voice of customer (VOC) issues and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement activities to reduce the cost of poor quality (CoPQ), focusing on scrap, rework, and warranty reduction.
• Oversee NPI launch readiness, ensuring manufacturing operations meet milestones including PFMEA, control plans, and run at rate requirements.
• Drive quality "shift left" initiatives by influencing Design for Manufacturability (DfX) within the product development process.
• Establish and monitor quality metrics and leading indicators to enable proactive management of process variability.
• Standardize manufacturing processes, metrics, and factory launch procedures across all global regions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent technical experience.
• 15+ years of experience in supply chain manufacturing and operations quality.
• Extensive background in manufacturing, product, and process quality, specifically with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs).
• Proven experience operating within a lean production system (TPS or equivalent) with Lean Six Sigma credentials.
• Demonstrated experience in transformational program management, including changing processes, systems, or organizational culture.
• Strong executive influence and communication skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership.
• Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
