Senior Director of Tax

Responsibilities

• Build and scale the global tax function from early-stage foundations
• Manage worldwide direct and indirect tax compliance, including ASC 740, transfer pricing, and VAT/GST
• Support strategic tax planning and IPO preparation, including legal entity optimization and Pillar Two preparedness
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and Legal on tax-related structuring and disclosures
• Strengthen tax governance, risk management, and documentation for SOX readiness
• Serve as the primary tax voice to executive leadership, translating complex topics into actionable updates

Requirements

• 12–15+ years of progressive international tax experience
• Experience building or scaling a global tax function in a high-growth or multinational environment
• Strong technical expertise in U.S. and international corporate tax, ASC 740, and transfer pricing
• Experience supporting IPO readiness and SOX implementation
• Proven ability to operate both strategically and operationally in fast-paced environments
• Experience in SaaS, marketplace, or technology-enabled businesses
• AI-forward mindset with a track record of applying AI tools to tax workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, MST, or JD/LLM in Tax
• Experience managing audits and strengthening internal controls
