Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives

Responsibilities

• Serve as a thought partner to the CACMO and senior leadership on strategic issues and division-wide priorities
• Identify and coordinate implementation of policy, procedural, and systems improvements
• Lead a cross-divisional program management office (PMO) to coordinate capital programs
• Strengthen the handover of newly built capital assets to operations and maintenance teams
• Identify high-impact artificial intelligence use cases for workflow automation and design
• Guide team members in structuring analysis and operational approaches
• Address high-priority requests and urgent coordination needs across NYCHA divisions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience, including 18 months in a managerial capacity; or
• High school diploma and 6 years of relevant experience, including 18 months in a managerial capacity
• Experience in real property management, including renting and operating properties
• Proven track record leading major capital programs or operational change initiatives
• Experience with building construction, renovation, or site management
• Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with sustainability and resiliency programs
• Experience with architecture and engineering design
• Experience with alternative project delivery capabilities
