Senior Director of Sales

Responsibilities

• Distill enterprise expertise into a formal, repeatable sales motion and codify institutional knowledge
• Act as executive sponsor and strategic closer for high-stakes industrial accounts
• Engineer specialized playbooks tailored to the physical economy
• Design and execute the organizational structure for the Industrial sales team
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of Sales Directors
• Own the people strategy including hiring, onboarding, and professional development
• Develop the Relay Industrial Playbook for Trials, POCs, and MSA negotiations
• Identify sales cycle bottlenecks to increase deal velocity and win rates
• Act as the primary bridge between the field and Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of Sales leadership experience
• 3+ years of experience as a second-line leader (managing managers/directors)
• Experience in an Industrial-focused SaaS or IoT environment
• Ability to travel up to 40%
• Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or equivalent experience
• Proven track record of scaling sales teams from $10M to $50M+ ARR
• Deep expertise in plant operations and industrial procurement
