About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead overall manufacturing operations for the assigned facility, including machining, fabrication, assembly, and processing.
- Develop and implement plant-specific strategies that align with corporate manufacturing goals.
- Ensure high levels of customer service and delivery reliability despite variable demand patterns and product variations.
- Maintain high quality standards and introduce continuous improvement initiatives to address operational challenges.
- Foster a strong safety culture and an accident-free environment through employee engagement and risk management.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members through effective workload delegation and succession planning.
- Manage facility resources, including staffing and material utilization, to achieve objectives at the lowest cost.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment following 5S principles and ISO standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (significant equivalent operational experience may be considered).
- 10+ years of progressively responsible production management leadership experience.
- Proven experience with the manufacturing and assembly of highly variable products with short lead times.
- Working knowledge of industry legislation, regulations, and requirements.
- Proficiency in data analysis and the use of operational metrics to drive performance.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and other relevant computer programs.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
