Senior Director of Medicaid Policy

Responsibilities

• Define and lead a coordinated Medicaid policy strategy aligned with enterprise priorities, including eligibility reform and program design.
• Translate federal and state policy developments into clear strategic direction for health plans and executive leadership.
• Lead enterprise engagement with national trade associations, policy coalitions, and external stakeholders to shape Medicaid policy direction.
• Represent the organization with Medicaid Directors, regulators, policymakers, and advocacy organizations.
• Develop advocacy positions grounded in business and data insights to address emerging federal and state trends.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of policy subject matter experts.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including National Regulatory Affairs, Government Affairs, Compliance, and Legal.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in shaping, developing, and analyzing complex public policy, specifically within Medicaid.
• Deep experience leading or contributing to public policy and advocacy efforts with legislators and regulators.
• Exceptional ability to synthesize complex policy issues into clear, compelling messaging for executive and technical audiences.
• Proven ability to lead through influence across highly matrixed environments.
• Strong ability to translate evolving policy into clear business implications, including financial and operational impacts.
