Senior Director of Creative

Responsibilities

• Establish company-wide standards for visual design, brand strategy, and product thinking to serve mission-driven clients
• Define quality benchmarks and ensure consistency across all client engagements
• Mentor and develop the full creative team across design, experience strategy, and brand strategy
• Directly manage the Director of Creative Operations and Associate Director of Experience Strategy
• Champion the use of AI and modern tools to enhance the creative process without compromising craft
• Partner with leadership on department budgeting, capacity planning, and agency positioning
• Support new business efforts by contributing to proposals and presenting to prospects

Requirements

• 10+ years of creative leadership experience in agency environments
• 2+ years of experience managing other directors
• Deep expertise in brand strategy, identity, interactive design, and experience strategy
• Demonstrated fluency with AI and modern production tools
• Strong presentation skills and comfort with executive-level client communication
• Ability to balance creative ambition with business realities and client needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in social impact, advocacy, nonprofits, or research organizations
• Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles
• History of creative award recognition and industry thought leadership
