Senior Director Molecular Sciences

Responsibilities

• Lead the molecular services team and create the scientific vision for the laboratory molecular services business unit
• Formulate and implement strategic scientific plans and technology assessments to support translational research
• Design, develop, and validate molecular assays, including DNA methylation and epigenetic approaches
• Manage assigned teams to ensure efficient organization and execution of experiments
• Provide technical and scientific leadership to generate high-quality data for biopharmaceutical clients

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Genomics, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Cellular/Cancer Biology, Immunology, or related field
• Minimum 18 years of relevant laboratory experience in Molecular Biology
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience
• Experience in ISO 15189 laboratories
• Solid understanding of GxP and ISO standards
• Expert technical skills in NGS, qPCR, and nucleic acid extraction/quantification
• Proficiency in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies
• Strong computational skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad, and Prism
• Fluency in English and German (reading, writing, and speaking)

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in various molecular scientific assays
• Knowledge of clinical trials, specifically in oncology
