Senior Director, Medical Writing

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct all aspects of critical writing activities including clinical study protocols, IBs, CSRs, INDs, CTDs, and regulatory documents
• Analyze and interpret non-clinical and clinical data to develop strategy, conclusions, and messaging
• Build a scalable medical and scientific writing infrastructure, including templates, processes, and style guides
• Manage the department budget and collaborate with internal and external vendors
• Ensure document content adheres to ICH, FDA, EMEA, and other regulatory requirements
• Support scientific communications such as manuscripts, abstracts, and posters

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in a scientific discipline
• Minimum of 10 years of scientific, medical, or technical writing experience
• Proven track record of producing high-quality scientific and medical documents
• Experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical company environment
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling written summaries
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, SharePoint, and data visualization tools like Spotfire
