Senior Director, Market Transformation - Kidney

Responsibilities

• Monitor the external healthcare, market, and policy landscape to identify trends, risks, and opportunities relevant to Vertex brands.
• Provide actionable market insights to enable cross-functional teams to make informed brand, access, and commercialization decisions.
• Evaluate and advance new solutions in areas such as AI, digital health, and alternative distribution models.
• Design, develop, and activate innovative programs that drive brand awareness and improve patient access.
• Establish and monitor adoption metrics and key KPIs, providing regular reporting to leadership on value realization.
• Partner closely with Commercial, Market Access, Medical, Patient Support, Legal, and Compliance functions to ensure alignment.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with influential external stakeholders and partners to expand reach and patient impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in biopharmaceuticals, healthcare strategy, commercial innovation, market access, or consulting.
• Proven ability to translate external market insights into strategic recommendations and business action.
• Experience developing and implementing innovative healthcare solutions, partnerships, or patient access programs.
• Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including market dynamics and stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a highly matrixed environment.
• Strong executive presence, communication, and influence skills.
