Senior Director, Market Segment Platform SDKs

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the platform SDK vision for automotive, industrial, robotics, and embedded markets
• Architect SDK layers built on top of BSP/foundational software to ensure scalability and cross-platform reuse
• Lead platform capabilities for virtualized environments, including hypervisors and workload isolation
• Oversee development of domain-specific SDKs for camera, audio, and other specialized hardware capabilities
• Drive system-level excellence in real-time determinism, functional safety (ISO 26262), and low-latency pipelines
• Build world-class developer experiences, including packaging, documentation, and integrated debugging tools
• Implement modern CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and validation across hardware/software matrices
• Build and lead high-performing, globally distributed engineering teams

Requirements

• 20+ years of experience in platform system software, platform BSPs, and SDK development
• Deep expertise in embedded systems and low-level software
• Extensive experience with Multi-OS environments including RTOS, Linux, Android, and QNX
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as hypervisors and VirtIO
• Proven experience driving CI/CD, software quality engineering, and release engineering
• Experience working with ecosystem partners (OSVs, middleware, and toolchain providers)
• BS or MS degree in a relevant field or equivalent direct experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience scaling platforms across multiple products and diverse market segments
• Expertise in modern packaging technologies like Docker
• Demonstrated success in leading large, globally distributed engineering organizations
• Ability to connect silicon capabilities to high-level platform abstractions and usability
