Senior Director Market Access

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and execute market access and pricing strategies for the oncology portfolio in the UK.
• Establish and build the UK market access function, including team development and fostering launch excellence.
• Develop integrated market access plans tailored to UK-specific requirements and global strategies.
• Drive innovative solutions to overcome reimbursement barriers, such as managed access agreements (MAAs) and value-based arrangements.
• Engage with key stakeholders including policymakers, health authorities (NHSE, DHSC, NICE), and industry associations.
• Provide strategic input for senior leadership discussions and the overall UK business strategy.

Requirements

• Advanced university degree in natural sciences, business administration, health economics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in market access or health economics within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
• 5+ years of oncology experience with significant UK market expertise.
• Proven track record of leading successful NICE and SMC appraisals for oncology products.
• Strong HEOR knowledge and experience, specifically regarding UK-based strategies and deliverables.
• Deep understanding of the UK healthcare landscape, including NICE HTA processes, NHS England reimbursement pathways, and VPAG frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to build teams from scratch in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial areas such as marketing and sales.
• Strong scientific literacy in oncology.
