Senior Director, Legal - Corporate and Commercial

Responsibilities

• Lead the Corporate and Commercial Legal Team, overseeing purchasing, real estate, commercial sales, and corporate governance
• Serve as the primary legal advisor to internal clients, including heads of purchasing and commercial functions
• Provide strategic insights as a member of the Legal Leadership Team
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts relating to procurement, manufacturing, operations, logistics, and marketing
• Develop form documentation, templates, and contracting processes for the Purchasing Team
• Build and mentor members of the Corporate and Commercial Legal Team
• Manage and engage outside counsel when necessary

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Member in good standing of the bar in at least one US state
• Minimum 12 years of legal experience
• Experience in law firms and/or in-house environments
• Automotive industry experience preferred
• Supervisory and leadership experience
• Significant experience negotiating complex commercial agreements
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
