Senior Director, Investor Relations

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of all quarterly earnings materials including press releases, supplements, and scripts
• Serve as the primary spokesperson with institutional investors and sell-side analysts
• Partner with the CFO and CEO to develop and refine the long-term investment thesis and messaging
• Build and maintain relationships across long-only funds, hedge funds, and index holders
• Provide board-level reporting on shareholder composition, activist monitoring, and market sentiment
• Monitor the payments and fintech landscape to provide actionable competitive intelligence
• Partner with FP&A, Legal, Accounting, and Corporate Communications for disclosure accuracy
• Implement processes and tools to scale the IR function

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, or FP&A
• Meaningful IR track record at a publicly traded company
• Degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field
• Experience with financial modeling and narrative development
• Familiarity with payments, fintech, or transaction-based business models
• Strong command of equity valuation methodologies and capital markets dynamics
• Ability to work in the Bay Area or relocate for regular in-person engagement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a publicly traded payments network or card issuer
• Existing relationships with fintech/payments equity analysts
• Experience managing an IR team
• MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced credential
• Exposure to stablecoins or next-generation money movement trends
