Senior Director, Internal Audit & SOX

Responsibilities

• Develop annual risk-based audit plans and schedules related to controls over financial reporting
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing internal audit team
• Oversee an internal program of audits evaluating information accuracy, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
• Lead cross-functional advisory and assurance engagements, including SDLC and ISO 27001
• Act as the primary subject matter expert for internal controls across the organization
• Communicate findings to management and track the remediation and closure of identified issues
• Build strong working relationships with functional management teams and external auditors
• Proactively advise management on key risk areas and drive pragmatic remediation plans

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 10+ years of relevant experience in internal audit, external audit, or management within public SaaS or cloud-based technology industries
• Deep understanding of GAAP, COSO, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and PCAOB auditing standards
• Proven experience managing audits within complex operational and regulatory environments
• Advanced understanding of financial and business processes within a SaaS and online marketplace environment
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, CIA, or other relevant professional certifications
• Experience with M&A and integrations
