Senior Director, Human Resources

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute HR strategies that align with business objectives and pharmaceutical innovation.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and change management.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to lead strategies for attracting scientific, technical, and commercial talent.
• Oversee talent management, succession planning, leadership development, and performance management programs.
• Collaborate with Total Rewards to implement competitive compensation structures and benefit programs.
• Ensure strict compliance with Canadian employment, human rights, and pharmaceutical industry regulations.
• Manage HR audits, non-conformance investigations, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Lead and mentor the HR team to promote professional growth and high performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• At least 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian/Provincial employment, human rights, and health and safety legislation.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and manage change in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office products and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP).
