Senior Director, Head of Strategy and Operations, GCSO

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the Senior Vice President and the Global Commercial Strategy & Operations (GCSO) Leadership Team.
• Drive tactical and strategic projects, ensuring alignment with unit priorities and coordinated communication across functions.
• Manage GCSO Leadership Team operations, including curating agendas, setting priorities, and ensuring follow-up on decisions and actions.
• Act as a "linking pin" between R&D, Medical, US Commercial, and other key global markets to break down silos.
• Lead the evolution of Commercial AI aspirations, supporting the adoption of novel tools and cross-functional initiatives.
• Provide high-level project management support to improve business performance and operational efficiency.
• Prepare and deliver executive presentations and manage communication strategies for the SVP.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 14+ years of experience, OR Master's Degree with 12+ years of experience, OR PhD with 12+ years of experience.
• Extensive experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Proven track record of driving project success and leading through influence without direct authority.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong AI tool literacy, including experience with tools like Microsoft Copilot.
• Exceptional project management, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 20% as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or a higher advanced degree.
• Experience across multiple parts of the pharmaceutical value chain (e.g., Global Strategy, Commercial, R&D, or Project Management).
