Senior Director, Hardware & Vehicle Development

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end hardware lifecycle including engineering, manufacturing, and field service for the autonomous robot platform
• Build and scale the hardware organization from the ground up, including hiring and budget management
• Partner with autonomy, product, and operations teams to translate system requirements into hardware decisions
• Drive robot-level profitability by reducing costs and improving efficiency
• Set the hardware roadmap and take accountability for scale milestones

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in hardware, automotive, or a closely related field
• 4-5 years of leadership experience at the Senior Director or VP level
• Proven track record of taking hardware programs from early development through volume manufacturing
• Experience selecting and managing contract manufacturers (CM) through production ramp
• Ability to operate in fast-moving environments with aggressive timelines
