Senior Director, Events

Responsibilities

• Lead Sportico's overall live events strategy, business development, and long-term growth
• Oversee planning and execution of a portfolio of flagship events and bespoke gatherings
• Develop innovative strategies to boost ticket sales and attendee engagement
• Work with marketing to maximize audience growth and event visibility
• Own program development and speaker strategy, including recruiting high-profile speakers and moderators
• Build and maintain relationships with venues, production vendors, and agencies
• Negotiate contracts and manage third-party partners
• Own event budgets and P&L, including forecasting and cost tracking

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience leading conferences, live events, sponsorship sales, or media events
• Demonstrated success growing event businesses through sponsorships and ticket sales
• Proven ability to build and monetize premium B2B conferences
• Experience recruiting high-profile speakers and industry leaders
• Strong understanding of the global sports industry and its executive ecosystem
