About the Company

Dyne Therapeutics is focused on delivering functional improvement for people living with genetically driven neuromuscular diseases. The company is advancing clinical programs for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1) as well as preclinical programs for facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) and Pompe disease.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the scientific and methodological leader for interventional, observational, and epidemiologic research across the portfolio
  • Develop and execute enterprise-level epidemiology and RWE strategies aligned with organizational objectives
  • Lead the design, execution, and interpretation of studies including chart reviews, prospective observational studies, and Phase 3b/4 studies
  • Partner with Clinical Development and Biometrics to inform endpoint development and external control strategies
  • Provide epidemiology leadership for Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance, including post-authorization safety studies (PASS)
  • Oversee scientific dissemination through peer-reviewed publications and congress presentations
  • Manage budgets, timelines, vendors, and external academic collaborators

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in epidemiology, public health, health services research, or a related discipline
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in epidemiology, RWE, or observational research
  • Deep expertise in epidemiologic methods and real-world data sources
  • Demonstrated experience leading post-authorization safety studies and regulatory documentation
  • Proven ability to partner effectively in a matrix environment across Medical Affairs, Clinical, and Regulatory teams
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 30%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in rare diseases and/or neuromuscular disorders
