Responsibilities

  • Build, grow, and maintain a robust portfolio of strategic relationships with Independent Power Producers (IPPs), renewable developers, utilities, and other energy infrastructure partners
  • Identify new energy partnership opportunities that support Crusoe's data center pipeline and facilitate their progression
  • Serve as the primary external-facing liaison for the Energy Development Group, collaborating with Real Estate, Interconnection, and Government Affairs teams
  • Define and implement a scalable framework for identifying, prioritizing, and engaging energy partnerships
  • Represent Crusoe at industry events, forums, and bilateral meetings to position the company as a preferred partner
  • Support early-stage commercial negotiations with IPP and utility partners, including LOIs and term sheets
  • Maintain deep market intelligence regarding the IPP, renewable development, and utility landscape
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the health and progress of the partnership pipeline

Requirements

  • 12–15+ years of progressive experience in the energy sector
  • Significant experience at an Independent Power Producer (IPP), renewable developer, or electric utility
  • Established, trusted network of relationships across the IPP, renewable developer, and utility ecosystem
  • Demonstrated success in originating, structuring, and closing complex energy partnerships or offtake agreements
  • Strong understanding of U.S. power markets, utility structures, and renewable project development lifecycles
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving legal, finance, and development teams
  • Exceptional communication skills and executive presence
  • Relevant degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Experience working with or selling to hyperscalers, data center developers, or large industrial power consumers
  • Experience building a partnerships or business development function from scratch
