Senior Director Database Design & Acquisition

Responsibilities

• Provide global leadership for the Database Design & Acquisition (DDA) function, overseeing therapeutic area, database design, and data acquisition leads.
• Define and execute enterprise strategy for database design and data acquisition to ensure high-quality builds and minimized mid-study changes.
• Partner with Data Management and Clinical Systems leadership to align design standards and integration capabilities with long-term technology strategy.
• Establish and monitor performance metrics, including cycle times and integration quality, to drive operational excellence.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, automation, and the adoption of modern integration capabilities.
• Optimize the global sourcing and delivery model across internal teams and FSP partners to ensure scalable, cost-effective operations.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for complex database build, integration, and supplier challenges.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree with 12 years of clinical execution experience, OR Master's degree with 18 years of clinical execution experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 20 years of clinical execution experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, or programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate degree with 10 years of clinical execution experience.
• Master's degree with 15 years of clinical execution experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 18 years of clinical execution experience.
• At least 4 years of experience directly managing people or leading large-scale projects and resource allocation.
