Senior Director, Cyber Security Detection and Response

Responsibilities

• Lead detection engineering strategy and execution across endpoint, identity, cloud, network, and data layers
• Run SOC and incident response operations to ensure rapid and accurate threat response
• Serve as Incident Commander for major security incidents, managing command structure and executive communications
• Build and mature the insider threat program using behavioral analytics and threat intelligence
• Own the threat intelligence lifecycle to drive detection content and hunting hypotheses
• Lead executive-level incident briefings and post-incident readouts
• Drive the adoption of AI and automation in detection and response workflows

Requirements

• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on incident response and detection engineering
• Proven experience serving as an Incident Commander during major security events
• Experience building or transforming SOC and IR organizations
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Elastic, or QRadar
• Practical application of the MITRE ATT&CK framework
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant technical field
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, or GCFA
• Experience with SOAR tools and security automation
