Senior Director, Corporate Security

Responsibilities

• Define and lead Gilead’s global corporate security strategy, operating model, and performance outcomes.
• Oversee global security operations to protect employees, facilities, physical assets, and business continuity.
• Integrate physical, technical, investigative, and intelligence capabilities to mitigate enterprise-wide risks.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership during high-pressure crisis events and major incidents.
• Own global emergency preparedness, crisis management, and incident response programs.
• Manage global vendor strategies, third-party security provider governance, and significant global budgets.
• Partner with Legal, IT, HR, and Manufacturing to align security strategies with enterprise objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 14 years of relevant experience, OR
• Master's Degree and 12 years of relevant experience, OR
• PhD and 12 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale global security operations.
• Expertise in providing executive-level counsel during crises and sensitive investigations.
• Experience modernizing security programs through technology and intelligence-led approaches.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing large-scale global budgets.
• Exceptional executive communication skills and the ability to influence senior leadership.
• Proven track record of building and developing high-performing global teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
