Senior Director, Corporate Counsel, Market Access

Responsibilities

• Advise business partners on commercial initiatives to advance company strategy while addressing legal risks and protecting reputation
• Provide legal counsel on statutory and regulatory obligations including Medicaid, Medicare, 340B programs, and the Veterans Health Care Act
• Support market access and reimbursement issues, including government pricing and price reporting compliance
• Counsel on federal and state legislation impacting pharmaceutical pricing, reimbursement, and transparency laws
• Lead the development, negotiation, and administration of complex pharmaceutical commercial contracts with payers, PBMs, GPOs, and specialty pharmacies
• Review and draft rebate agreements, value-based agreements, and distribution contracts
• Ensure compliance with the Anti-kickback Statute and other US healthcare regulations
• Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams on medical legal reviews and product labeling guidance

Requirements

• JD from an ABA accredited law school
• Active membership in a state bar
• Minimum of 8 years post-JD experience advising on legal matters within the life sciences or biopharmaceutical industry
• Direct experience with government price reporting
• Deep knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and 340B programs
• Proven experience negotiating complex market access and pharmaceutical customer contracts

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) and value communications
• Experience providing legal advice specifically regarding specialty medicines
• Experience managing outside counsel and adhering to legal budgets
