Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement surrounding quarter-end close and 409A valuation update timelines
• Act as in-house expert for technical accounting matters and implement new FASB Standards
• Design, document, and maintain a robust internal control environment
• Manage annual financial audits and oversee Federal, State, and local tax compliance
• Collaborate to develop Finance IT roadmap and implement systems to streamline processes
• Provide the Leadership Team and Board of Directors with strategic analysis and business insights
• Hire, mentor, and scale a high-performing accounting team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Active CPA license
• 15+ years of progressive financial management
• 5+ years of experience building and managing high-performing teams
• Big Four public accounting experience
• Previous Controllership experience in both public and high-growth, investor-backed environments
• Proven experience in the Biotech/Life Science industry
• Deep proficiency in US GAAP
• Proficiency with NetSuite, Coupa, ADP TS, Carta, or FloQast preferred
• Experience supporting Board of Directors Committees
