Senior Director, Community & Advocacy

Responsibilities

• Lead the community function by owning the strategy and operating cadence of Braze Bonfire
• Lead the advocacy function, managing the Braze Customer Champions program end-to-end
• Own Customer Advisory Boards (CABs) to turn customer insight into product roadmap and narrative
• Oversee customer storytelling, including testimonial capture across video and written formats
• Connect community, advocacy, and learning into a unified customer empowerment ecosystem
• Lead and develop a team of five across digital community, advocacy, and events
• Manage the function using data-driven KPIs including engagement, advocacy influence, and story volume

Requirements

• Proven experience leading a customer advocacy program at scale in B2B software
• Experience running a customer community of meaningful scale
• Ability to defend function investment using pipeline and expansion influence metrics
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills working with PMM, Content, CX, Product, and Demand Gen
• Experience as a builder, scaling functions and teams
• Proven track record of developing and growing leaders
• Proficiency with modern community and advocacy tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in MarTech, customer engagement, or adjacent B2B SaaS categories
• Background spanning both community and education/learning programs
• Direct experience scaling platforms like ChampionHQ, Influitive, Higher Logic, Vanilla, or Bevy
• Experience managing multi-region community programs (AMER, EMEA, APAC)
• Public speaking presence and expertise in customer-led growth
