Senior Director, Clinical Safety MD

Responsibilities

• Lead and medical-scientifically direct a team of physicians and scientists responsible for specific compounds or products.
• Represent Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance (CSPV) on Global Product Teams and other cross-functional groups.
• Review and analyze data from clinical trials and post-marketing sources to ensure prompt identification of safety signals.
• Define and implement integrated risk management strategies and action plans throughout the product life cycle.
• Lead internal and external interactions, including regulatory agencies and expert advisory boards, to ensure quality risk evaluation.
• Coordinate the development and timely delivery of high-quality safety evaluation documents and deliverables.

Requirements

• MD degree with Board certification or eligibility.
• 6 or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory agencies, or academia.
• Proven experience in drug development.
• Experience in clinical pharmacology and/or epidemiology.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate resources across development functions.
