Senior Director, Chief of Staff: Hardware Engineering

Responsibilities

• Own the operating system of the Hardware Engineering organization, including staff meetings, leadership offsites, QBRs, and OKR cycles.
• Drive the strategic agenda by partnering with the Head of Hardware Engineering to shape multi-year narratives and frame strategic decisions.
• Lead the executive communication portfolio, including board materials, all-hands narratives, leadership memos, and customer briefings.
• Partner with HR and Finance on talent reviews, succession planning, organizational design, and headcount prioritization.
• Serve as the connective tissue between Hardware Engineering and cross-functional partners in Product, Business Units, and Finance.
• Lead high-priority special initiatives and strategic studies that cut across the organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chief of Staff, business operations leader, or strategy lead for a large engineering or technology organization.
• Demonstrated track record of running the operating cadence for complex, multi-functional organizations at scale.
• Exceptional written and verbal executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into decision-ready framing.
• Strong ability to influence without authority across senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• High judgment and the ability to operate effectively under ambiguity.
• Strong strategic synthesis and decision support skills.
