About the role
Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the Marketing and Communications team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Provide strategic leadership for institutional brand and marketing efforts to support enrollment and philanthropy goals.
- Develop and maintain institutional brand standards, templates, and the university's institutional "voice."
- Serve as the senior messaging strategist and writer, collaborating with senior leadership on internal and external communications.
- Lead brand development for the Coalition for the Common Good (CCG) and support brand integration with Antioch University.
- Align marketing, advertising, public relations, and recruitment messaging across all digital and print platforms.
- Oversee the Marketing and Communications annual budget and manage workflow to meet institutional deadlines.
- Support messaging for signature university events such as Commencement and Alumni Galas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- 7–10 years of progressive experience leading a marketing communications team.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing brand strategies and integrated campaigns.
- Proven experience managing social media strategies and digital engagement.
- Strong writing, speaking, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a higher education environment.
- Understanding of the ethical use of AI and large language models.
