Senior Director, Alliance Management

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute high-impact strategic alliances to advance research, development, and commercialization objectives.
• Establish and lead governance forums to enable effective decision-making and issue resolution with external partners.
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical alliance risks and ensure internal teams align with contractual commitments.
• Oversee forecasting inputs and alliance "health checks" to support financial and strategic planning.
• Serve as an internal expert on partner companies, providing senior leadership with strategic insights and recommendations.
• Drive continuous improvement through audits, best-practice sharing, and process ownership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 14 years of relevant experience, OR
• Master's degree and 12 years of relevant experience, OR
• PhD and 12 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in alliance management or partnership execution.
• Background in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
• Strong strategic thinking and matrix leadership capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PhD, MBA, or equivalent) in Business, Life Sciences, Medicine, or Law.
• Knowledge of oncology, virology (HIV, hepatitis), or inflammation pharmaceutical markets.
• Experience managing global partnerships, including those in the EU and Japan.
• Experience with integration management.
