Senior Director, AI Strategy, Governance and Transformation

Responsibilities

• Build and lead an enterprise AI Portfolio Office (APO) to manage demand intake, evaluation, and cross-business unit prioritization.
• Identify and prioritize enterprise AI/GenAI use cases aligned with strategic objectives and P&L.
• Develop a 12–24 month AI roadmap that sequences lighthouse use cases alongside platform enablers.
• Operationalize Responsible AI (RAI) standards, including fairness, transparency, privacy, and safety, across the AI lifecycle.
• Oversee model risk classification, AI risk registers, and regulatory compliance in partnership with Legal and Security.
• Lead process reengineering to ensure workflows are AI-ready and drive enterprise-wide adoption through change management.
• Design and implement benefits tracking and quarterly AI Value Dashboards to measure ROI, adoption, and performance.
• Partner with AI Engineering to align platform roadmaps with prioritized use cases and ensure scalable delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Data/Analytics, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in strategy, transformation, product/portfolio leadership, or risk/governance within complex regulated industries.
• 7+ years of experience working directly with AI/ML initiatives.
• Proven track record of building and leading an enterprise portfolio office or large-scale transformation program.
• Deep working knowledge of AI/ML lifecycles, GenAI (LLMs, RAG, prompt orchestration), and data governance.
• Experience with Responsible AI/Risk, regulatory engagement, and implementing audit-ready controls.
• Familiarity with MLOps concepts and platform-led delivery.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence executives and manage high-performing matrixed teams.
