Senior Digital Factory Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Execute projects involving Ignition application development and IIoT deployment
• Design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy advanced Industry 4.0 technologies
• Connect manufacturing equipment to IIoT/OT layer networks using protocols like EIP, Modbus/TCP, and MQTT
• Analyze and correlate large, complex data sets to support digital thread implementation
• Develop and execute analytics reports and data visualization toolsets
• Perform root cause corrective action (RCCA) for hardware and software issues in manufacturing products

Requirements

• STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• 5+ years of relevant experience, including Ignition SCADA development
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, C#/.NET, HTML5, and JSON
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar Agile Project Management tools
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts such as connectivity, IIoT, systems integration, and ISA-95
• Strong data analytics skills with the ability to process and visualize information from multiple sources
• U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Ignition Gold Certification
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus/TCP, MQTT, EIP, SECS/GEM)
• Experience building APIs and web applications
• Proficiency with tools such as Splunk!, PowerBI, Tableau, or SQL Server
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
• Understanding of automation systems including robots, vision systems, and PLCs
