Senior Digital Design Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system and subsystem development from concept through production, ensuring designs meet safety, EMC, and reliability standards.
• Define electrical specifications for sensors, radios, power distribution, and control electronics for cUAS platforms.
• Design and review detailed schematics for mixed-signal and high-speed FPGA-based boards and perform PCB layout.
• Develop custom DC/DC and AC/DC power circuit designs (up to 3000W) with high power integrity and power factor correction.
• Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, and system integration using lab instrumentation to validate performance.
• Conduct electrical analysis including signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC mitigation, and thermal considerations.
• Produce high-fidelity prototypes, develop test plans, and lead verification and validation activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage technical documentation, including BOMs and compliance evidence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in electrical design and system integration for complex hardware (e.g., cUAS, Satcom, defense, robotics, or wireless systems).
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Altium.
• Expertise in power electronics design, including battery management systems, DC/DC and AC/DC converters, and thermal management.
• Solid understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC mitigation techniques.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities for debugging at the board and system level.
