About the role
Responsibilities
- Define and implement diagnostics architecture across vehicle domains including powertrain, energy, ADAS, chassis, body, and infotainment
- Own end-to-end validation and sign-off for diagnostics systems to ensure release readiness before SOP
- Establish acceptance criteria for ECU diagnostics functionality and validate fault handling behavior
- Execute validation across SIL, HIL, and vehicle integration testing environments
- Design scalable regression test suites for ECU communication systems
- Perform deep debugging of network issues such as CAN bus load saturation, message timing drift, and gateway routing failures
- Analyze ECU interactions under stress, fault injection, and edge conditions
- Use diagnostic protocols like UDS (ISO 14229) to validate ECU behavior
- Coordinate integration across Powertrain, Electrification, ADAS, Infotainment, and Central Compute
- Drive root cause analysis of cross-domain issues and support integration war-room activities
Requirements
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture and ECU-level software stacks
- Proficiency in automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, A2B, LVDS)
- Expertise in UDS diagnostics (ISO 14229) and diagnostic communication tools
- Expert knowledge of Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory
- Proficiency in ALM/PLM tools such as Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Gen, or PTC Windchill
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, dSpace control desk, and automation desk
- Familiarity with vehicle network tools like CANalyzer and CANoe
