Senior DevOps Engineer

Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America’s drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key technical owner responsible for infrastructure, CI/CD, and secure-environment compliance
• Leverage expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and back-end systems to design and operate robust platforms
• Make key architectural decisions and own delivery
• Maintain performance, security, and reliability standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering experience
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong experience with Azure cloud services
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Bicep)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and runners in secure environments (e.g., GitLab CI)
• Deep Linux system administration experience
• Experience designing cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure architectures
• Familiarity with network architecture (VPNs, firewalls, DNS, load balancing)
• Experience with secrets management, certificate lifecycle management, and PKI
• Ability to implement monitoring, alerting, and observability pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Security and compliance experience (FIPS 140-2/140-3, NIST SP 800-171/172/53)
• Experience administering IAM solutions (Okta, Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD)
• Knowledge of Zero-trust security architecture and STIG hardening
• Embedded Linux and embedded system interfacing
• Familiarity with C/C++
• Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python
