Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, including multi-account network topologies and service deployments
• Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines to improve reliability, speed, and maintainability across product lines
• Manage Infrastructure as Code using OpenTofu, Terraform, or AWS CDK to maintain reusable module libraries
• Define deployment standards such as blue/green and canary releases, environment promotion, and rollback strategies
• Build and maintain container platforms using Docker and AWS ECS with a focus on security and runtime hardening
• Own the observability platform (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana) by designing alerting strategies and defining SLOs
• Design and implement disaster recovery strategies to ensure RTO/RPO targets and recovery readiness
• Implement security best practices including IAM policy design, secrets management, and AWS security tooling
• Collaborate with development teams to shorten feedback loops and ensure predictable deployments
• Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain 99.9% platform availability

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure roles, with at least 2 years at a senior level
• Strong AWS expertise including ECS, Aurora, CloudFront, and cost optimization
• Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code (OpenTofu, Terraform, or AWS CDK/TypeScript)
• Advanced knowledge of GitLab CI/CD, including multi-project pipelines and runners at scale
• Proficiency in Docker, container security, and container orchestration
• Strong production-grade scripting skills in Python and Shell
• Experience owning observability platforms like New Relic, Prometheus, or Grafana
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills within a distributed environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and Ansible for configuration management
• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional)
• Security certifications such as CISSP or OSCP
• Experience with advanced AWS networking (Transit Gateway, VPN, FortiGate)
