Senior DevOps Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Support AWS development, test, and production environments
• Collaborate with project leads and team members
• Align with Security and IT for policy assurance
• Develop and support pipelines including automation and configurations for containers, data management, and release/deployment solutions
• Automate software deployments using virtual machines, container technologies, Kubernetes, Cloud environments, and bare metal servers
• Assess and refactor existing applications to leverage modern architectures like containers
• Participate in Agile sprints and associated activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent
• 8+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles
• Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud-based development and operations
• Active TS/SCI security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical field
• Experience architecting solutions in AWS Cloud environments
• Proficiency in key AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, CloudWatch, S3)
• Experience with DevOps tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory)
• Experience with container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Proficiency in Linux system administration
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform)
• Background in scripting (Python, Bash, Java)
• CompTIA Security+ certification
• Experience with database administration (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification
