Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create and manage automated build pipelines, deployments, and configurations using CI/CD pipelines in AWS
• Maintain AWS cloud infrastructure for the HP DS Stack, Stack Applications, and DS Platform
• Build and release software engineering tools for data and source code repositories
• Implement and maintain infrastructure for monitoring, logging, and alerting across local, on-premises, and cloud applications
• Manage multiple environments using proper access controls to maintain environment integrity
• Collaborate with developers to ensure best practices and optimize AWS cloud hosting costs
• Ensure operational efficiency, reliability, and uptime of systems and software applications
• Represent the software applications engineering team during complex development projects

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience as a Software DevOps Engineer
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS platform services (EC2, RDS, IAM, Lambda, SQS, SNS)
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in scripting with one or more languages: Bash, Python, Go, Groovy, or Terraform
• In-depth understanding of SDLC, branching strategies, and source control (e.g., GitHub)
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL platforms (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Web hosting experience using Apache, Tomcat, or JBoss
• Experience with cloud monitoring and dashboarding tools
