Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, pairing, and structured growth plans.
• Evolve the DevOps function into a modern, product-minded Platform Engineering capability.
• Own cloud infrastructure using Terraform, specifically focusing on GCP and Azure.
• Design, standardize, and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and facilitate migrations from TeamCity and Octopus Deploy.
• Establish and scale GitOps practices using Argo CD and champion progressive delivery.
• Strengthen observability through actionable dashboards and alerts in Grafana, driving SLO and error-budget thinking.
• Improve security posture across the SDLC, including secrets management and artifact hygiene.
• Contribute hands-on via code reviews, IaC modules, and pipeline templates.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering within cloud-native environments.
• Deep experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes.
• Mastery of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and configuration management (Helm).
• Proficiency in Bash and at least one higher-level language such as Python or Go.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD design and operations (GitLab, TeamCity, Octopus).
• Proven leadership experience, including mentoring and coaching engineers.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders across different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience modernizing traditional infrastructure teams into product-oriented Platform Engineering practices.
• Background with GitOps policy/guardrails and release orchestration at scale.
• Exposure to FinOps practices and cost optimization in GCP/Azure.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Google Professional Cloud Architect, CKA/CKAD/CKS).
