Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide application development-programming for projects and infrastructure support activities
• Design and develop enterprise applications in a Web environment
• Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions
• Design software or customize software for client use to optimize operational efficiency
• Analyze and design databases within an application area
• Manage websites including design, development, deployment, maintenance, testing, and quality assurance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in software development
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing Kubernetes platforms (Rancher or EKS)
• Minimum 5 years of experience with CI/CD concepts and automated pipelines
• Minimum 5 years of experience with automation tools like Ansible
• Proficiency with Agile Software Development methodologies
• Experience with user interface analysis, performance tuning, and workload analysis
• Strong understanding of Linux systems administration and networking principles
• US Citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Python and JavaScript
• Familiarity with containerized software engineering practices
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with security scanning and vulnerability management tools
• Relevant certifications such as CKA, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or Security+
