Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and automated deployments
• Manage and evolve cloud infrastructure on AWS, including networking, compute, storage, and security
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Pulumi
• Own observability by managing monitoring, alerting, and logging using tools like Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus
• Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS or GKE)
• Lead incident response, post-mortems, and drive improvements to system reliability and uptime
• Enforce security best practices including secrets management, IAM policies, and vulnerability scanning
• Collaborate with backend and security engineers to support product velocity and compliance

Requirements

• 4–6 years of hands-on DevOps or SRE experience in a cloud-native environment
• Strong proficiency with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda)
• Solid experience with Kubernetes cluster management, deployments, and networking
• Expertise in CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or ArgoCD
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Comfort working in Linux/Unix environments with strong scripting skills
• Experience with observability stacks like Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus
• Strong security mindset regarding secrets management and network hardening

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, payments, or regulated industries (PCI-DSS, SOC 2)
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd
• Exposure to multi-region or multi-cloud deployments
• Experience with database operations including PostgreSQL and Redis
• Prior experience in a high-growth Series A/B startup
