About the role

Responsibilities

  • Propose and design adsorbent and related materials for gas separation and purification processes.
  • Employ AI tools to accelerate materials design, optimization, and characterization.
  • Prepare and modify new adsorbent materials for diverse applications.
  • Apply advanced characterization methods to determine material properties.
  • Collect and analyze routine and non-routine adsorption and materials property data.
  • Lead medium to large-sized R&D programs, managing technical goals, timing, and budgets.
  • Develop intellectual property documents, technical reports, and project management documentation.
  • Maintain relationships with key suppliers and participate in technical collaborations.
  • Handle chemicals, gases, and cryogens in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • PhD in Chemistry or Material Science.
  • 5+ years of industrial R&D experience in a laboratory environment or equivalent.
  • Advanced knowledge of chemistry, material properties, and characterization methods.
  • Proficiency in using AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot) to accelerate materials development.
  • Strong chemical handling skills and adherence to good laboratory practices.
  • Proven ability to plan and perform research independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, including potential international assignments.
