Senior Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from initial feasibility through to delivery, ensuring alignment with development strategies and business objectives.
• Monitor and update project feasibilities, budgets, delivery programs, cash flow forecasts, and cost controls.
• Drive statutory approvals by maintaining proactive engagement with State and Local Government authorities.
• Manage senior-level relationships with Ministers, Councillors, and senior government officers regarding planning and infrastructure.
• Oversee external consultants to ensure high-quality planning, technical, and urban design outcomes.
• Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to determine product mix, staging, delivery sequencing, and pricing strategies.
• Identify and manage risks across the development lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare detailed reporting for Urbex and BMD Group leadership.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering large-scale residential or mixed-use developments in Queensland.
• Strong commercial acumen and advanced feasibility management expertise.
• In-depth knowledge of Queensland planning frameworks and approval processes.
• Established relationships across the government, consultancy, and construction sectors.
• Ability to lead consultants and influence stakeholders at senior levels.
• Tertiary qualifications in Property, Planning, Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline.
