Senior Developer – Real Time Investment Data Systems

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of real-time and time-series data platforms to support investment management workflows.
• Act as the lead developer for historical data platforms, including integration with vendor platforms like OneTick and providers such as Bloomberg and Refinitiv.
• Set engineering standards for performance, resilience, data quality, and observability.
• Design schemas, partitioning, and data lifecycle strategies for large-scale intraday and historical datasets.
• Optimize query performance and data access patterns for Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Quant teams.
• Own production stability for business-critical data systems, particularly during trading hours.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to raise overall team capability.

Requirements

• Significant professional software engineering experience within the investment management domain.
• Strong experience with real-time vendor platforms like OneTick and time-series databases.
• Proficiency in Java and Python.
• Proven experience building and scaling services on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of financial data, including market data, orders, executions, positions, and portfolios.
• Experience with real-time streaming and messaging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with vendor data ecosystems such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or MarketAxess.
• Experience delivering high-performance platforms used directly by Quant and Trading teams.
