Senior Developer

Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of multiple affordable housing development projects from initial underwriting through closing to stabilization
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to team growth and development
• Prepare and present investment materials and analysis to executive leadership
• Compile due diligence information including financial, market, site, and regulatory data
• Manage project proformas, budgets, schedules, and underwriting assumptions
• Complete applications and documentation for debt/equity financing and government subsidy renewal
• Negotiate contracts and review legal documentation for projects
• Lead internal teams and external consultants through conceptual design and entitlements
• Coordinate pre-development work including architectural, engineering, zoning, and community support

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• 10 years of experience in real estate development or construction
• Experience in affordable housing or multi-family sectors
• Strong quantitative, financial analysis, and Excel modeling skills
• Exceptional research, writing, and communication abilities
• Strong project management and multitasking skills
• Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, ambiguous environment
• Willingness to travel as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree
• Experience with LIHTC, Section 8, and Public Housing development
• Experience managing and growing a small team
