Senior Developer - Emerging Payments

Responsibilities

• Develop and architect middleware and back-end systems for emerging payment rails including Zelle, ACH, TCH, and Wire
• Design strategies for continuous enhancement, performance optimization, stability, and scalability of payment platforms
• Manage the end-to-end software development life cycle from conception to deployment and maintenance
• Build dynamic software products including front-end, middleware, and back-end components
• Oversee automated testing and provide technical insights on results
• Provide specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support to solve complex problems independently

Requirements

• 5-7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field
• Experience working within a financial institution with a thorough understanding of payment flows (Wires, ACH, TCH, or Zelle)
• Proficiency in backend technologies including Node.js and/or Java, and XML/XSD
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, specifically serverless and event-driven/reactive architectures
• Experience with databases and caching such as NoSQL (DynamoDB) and RDBMS (Oracle, Postgres)
• Proficiency with version control systems and tools like GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO message specifications
• Experience with front-end technologies and frameworks
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer certifications
• Familiarity with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or AWS Bedrock
