Senior Developer Advocate

Responsibilities

• Evangelize the use of Creator Platform tools and technology for FiveM and RedM
• Advocate for developer experience improvements based on community feedback
• Support the development of programs to grow the creator community
• Drive maturity of developer documentation, including guides, tutorials, and API references
• Create step-by-step guides and templates for building scripts, game modes, and maps
• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate technical changes into changelogs and migration guides
• Review and improve existing documentation for accuracy and completeness

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in technical writing or developer documentation
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
• Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Lua, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#
• Experience with documentation tooling like Markdown, static site generators, or docs-as-code
• Strong technical comprehension of APIs and developer tools
• Experience producing tutorials, API references, or developer guides
• Ability to collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Community teams
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git
• User-focused mindset for developer audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FiveM/RedM ecosystem or game modding communities
• Experience writing documentation for game engines or modding frameworks
• Experience producing video tutorials or interactive code samples
• Understanding of creator workflows and asset pipelines in UGC ecosystems
• Experience collaborating with open source projects
