Senior Developer 2 - Python

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and sustain Python-based applications and 3rd-party integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design software solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code in Python.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Debug and fix issues in existing Python codebases while optimizing for performance and scalability.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle, building secure and testable code.
• Integrate software components into fully functional systems and maintain documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Experience contributing code independently and collaborating with multiple developers.
• Experience impacting the architecture and design of large-scale, distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science.
• A clear history of technical influence, such as public conference talks or published papers.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Go, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, or Databricks.
