Senior Developer 2

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance frontend architectures using React and TypeScript
• Investigate systemic issues across the platform, including auditing unfamiliar codebases and providing architectural recommendations
• Build and maintain Node.js-based backend services supporting frontend platforms (e.g., BFFs, APIs, and tooling services)
• Champion developer experience (DX) and frontend standards through automation, documentation, and tooling
• Mentor engineers on frontend architecture, platform standards, testing strategies, and engineering best practices
• Optimize application performance, bundle size, and runtime efficiency
• Act as a technical partner to feature teams to balance platform stability with the evolution of APIs and patterns

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Strong expertise in TypeScript and React (hooks, state management, performance)
• Monorepo experience at scale (familiarity with Nx is a plus)
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and backend service development
• Experience with testing infrastructure including unit, component, and E2E testing (Vitest, Playwright, or equivalents)
• Demonstrated ability to independently investigate complex codebases and produce clear written architectural assessments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on a dedicated Frontend Platform or Infrastructure Team
• Familiarity with design systems, Storybook, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Experience building developer tools such as CLI tools, plugins, or codemods
• Deep understanding of web performance optimization, accessibility (a11y), and cross-browser compatibility
• Knowledge of SSR/SSG frameworks (Next.js) and micro-frontend architectures
